I don’t know where to start. Esa has played a crucial role in me changing 30 years of bad habits. I have been training with Esa twice a week for 3 months now and whilst the physical changes are brilliant (2.5 stone off, muscles appearing and body shape changing).
It’s the change in my mindset that she has helped me with the most. Sessions are tailored to personal needs, she is patient with my non-stop jabbering (it’s how I get through the sessions), and I feel like I’m with a friend. WhatsApp texts with tips and hints keep me focused when I’m not in sessions and she genuinely seems to take joy from my random non-scale victories as I navigate this time in my life as a perimenopausal, neurodivergent, parent of teens trying to beat a lifetime of sugar addiction and binge eating through mind and body changes.
I’m looking forward to see what the next 3 months bring!

I’m in my early 30s and after moving to Whitstable from London I was keen to find a new local PT. I reached out to Esa at the start of the year hoping to reconnect with my body and build strength again. She has been excellent from the start —responsive to my needs, knowledgeable and always adapting sessions to suit me. Every workout is kept interesting and she pushes me in ways I’d never achieve on my own at home!
After over 8 months of training, I’ve seen real results. I feel stronger, more confident (especially showing off my arms!) and generally more positive about my body and leading a healthier lifestyle. What can I say about Esa that others haven’t already said??
As a woman of a certain age who needs to lose weight, gain strength and get my body moving again, Esa was the perfect solution! She was able to tailor exercises to fit my needs and adapt them when I had an unrelated injury. She is a motivational bundle of energy who completely understood my needs giving me a varied routine of exercises.
I have become more flexible and can feel the improvement. She helped me to achieve my goal of becoming gym-ready so that I could go on to join a gym and engage in regular exercise.
With Esa’s knowledge and encouragement, I have changed from a couch potato into someone who visits the gym three times a week, power walks twice a week and attends yoga/pilates classes twice per week. I gained confidence to be able to walk into the gym and, after an induction with the trainer on some of the machines at the gym, I now know what to do!

A message to older women, not in great condition. I’m 62 with osteoarthritis diagnosed in my early 40s. I’ve had one hip replaced and the other is declining which means I can’t run or jump. I have advanced osteoarthritis in one foot so I can’t bend my toes and it can be painful.
Before working with Esa I had convinced myself that I needed to be careful and lifting heavy probably wasn’t for me. I was frightened of making things worse and being in even more pain. I often had pain in lower back. Pains in my hips and side. I had a ‘I can’t do that’ attitude.
However forward nearly 6 months and I have a ‘I can certainly give that a go’ attitude. I’m still cautious. My lower back pain has gone completely. My hips are stronger, more flexible and pain free. I don’t get pains in my sides and I feel strong! My toes will never get better but Esa always has a work around. My posture strength and flexibility have all improved which makes day to day living so much easier!
I really wish older women knew that lifting heavy is amazing and everyone should give it go! It’s also really good fun!

Am a 62 year old female and although reasonably fit from walking and odd game of badminton, fitness training was new to me plus had had some recent health issues including surgery.
I had 6 sessions with Esa to kickstart my new exercise regime. Mainly wanted to start using weights/learn about resistance training. Had a comprehensive questionnare to complete and Esa discussed my answers thoroughly with me, ensuring I checked out a few things with my GP.
My sessions were always positive and fun but perfectly paced for where I was with fitness, challenging but safe. Esa is very knowlegeable about fitness and also nutrition and I felt supported, safe and comfortable with her. I also looked forward to each session as she is just such a lovely and inspiring person to spend time with.

I’ve been training with Esa for a couple of months and already feel like it’s made an improvement in my energy levels, mindset and strength.
Our sessions are the perfect balance of fun and challenging and Esa’s the biggest cheerleader when you feel the burn! A wealth of knowledge in fitness and nutrition and she’s supportive outside of the gym too – sharing tips and info that makes life better – especially for those of us going through the perimenopause.

I have posture issues and pain and seeing Esa weekly has made a huge difference, I am feeling stronger and the pain is decreasing week on week.
What I like most about the sessions is that Esa adapts to whats needed in the moment, she is a great listener. She will also push you to your limits whilst having a laugh.

Plantar fascitis appears to be a distant memory - it's really nice to not have achy old lady feet in the mornings!
